Preferring warm waters, tuna belongs to the mackerel family (Scombridae) and is a carnivorous predator, feeding on smaller fish. Also known as “tuna fish,” it’s referred to as “Tombik” when young. Commonly prepared grilled or baked, tuna remains one of the most consumed fish worldwide.
